Kuroda Otsuka Tomb

A large keyhole-shaped tomb of the early 6th century which is a Designated Cultural Property of Nara. It was originally a two-layered mound surrounded by a moat with a total length of 86 meters, but has been greatly altered with time. The original scale of the tomb is shown with curbstones. Visitors are welcome to climb the tumulus. Terracotta figures and wooden products have been found in excavations and a part of the findings is on exhibit at the Karako Kagi Archaeological Museum.
